ENG/ In my work generally, I use scraps of different fabrics, cloths of different origins, tablecloths in disuse, pieces of canvas or drapes. All materials that I obtain from my home environment or at flea markets, as an indirect reference to Pop Art. My most recent work lies in a crossroad between the pictorial and the cartoonish, the textile and the reusable.

My images, in a sense figurative, are fed from the language of war, social networks and the current political – social events. The formats are reminiscent of pennants, flags and pendants inspired by popular culture, circus aesthetics and, not to a lesser degree in the aesthetic nature of social movements and their carnival street bands. Thus, my work reveals a world in conflict, where black humor, sketch and tragedy offer a counterpoint, materializing fantastic daily disasters, which at first glance are seen as a permanently stressed apocalyptic allegory.

SPA/ Mi obra, en general, utiliza retazos de tela y/o género, paños de distinta procedencia, manteles caseros en desuso, trozos de lona o cortinas. Todos materiales que obtengo de mi entorno doméstico o en ferias de barrio; cita indirecta al Pop Art.  

Mi quehacer más reciente se cruza con lo pictórico, lo caricaturesco, lo textil y lo reutilizable.

Mis imágenes, más bien figurativas, se alimentan del lenguaje de la guerra, las redes sociales y el acontecer político – social; mis formatos recuerdan banderines, banderas y colgantes inspirados en la cultura popular, la estética circense y, no en menor grado, en la naturaleza estética de los movimientos sociales y sus murgas carnavalescas, así, mi trabajo, devela un mundo en conflicto, donde el humor negro, el sketch y la tragedia, ofrecen un contrapunto, materializando así fantásticos desastres cotidianos, los que a simple vista se ven como una alegoría apocalíptica en permanente tensión.
